Who are you feeding? Corns, Kings, Rosy boas.

Clean, healthy looking mice.

I used another company before with comparable pricing, but Layne mice seem like they’re really healthy, with no scrawny runts or tumorous geriatrics.

Who are you feeding? Snakes!

Great product!

First time trying layne labs and I really love the packaging that the mice/rats come in. The quality is great and my snakes have been gobbling them up!

Who are you feeding? Corn snake and Russian rat snake

For years we've used Layne Labs for our feeders

I found Layne Labs online 8 years ago when I was searching for humanely raised feeder rodents for my corn snake. I loved the philosophy and ordered and have never gone back. The feeders always look plump and healthy and seem well cared for. I love rodents too and the idea of them being mistreated because they're 'just feeders' has never set well with me. I also appreciate the variety of options I can get for my animals to change it up. On the few occasions I've had to get feeders locally I'm always appalled by the thin, smelly, and often freezer burned mice I receive. It just affirms my decision to stick with Layne labs all these years. I've never been disappointed with their quality. Thank you Layne Labs!

Great Quality Feeders

Here’s why I give Layne Labs 5 stars: -The mice arrived frozen and on-time -The mice are clean; I’ve gotten mice from other companies before that have pieces of bedding and/or feces stuck to them — my snake will refuse to eat any mice that have bedding or feces stuck to them (it also makes me question the living conditions of the mice, and how safe/healthy they would be for my snake even if he would eat them) -The mice are not contorted into weird positions and don’t have any obvious signs of injury — my snake doesn’t like to eat mice that are curled over too much, and once again, I question the living conditions if I see wounds on the mice (I realize they could get wounds after death, but I have no way of knowing) -The mice are not stuck together; I was a little worried when I saw that the mice are not individually wrapped, however Layne Labs must take care during the freezing/preparing process to make sure they don’t stick together -I like that I can choose the weight of the feeders — it can be a challenge feeding a small, growing snake to find appropriately-sized rodents, and I like that I can order large pinkies or small fuzzies and know that my snake will be able to eat them, instead of just ordering generic pinkies or fuzzies and keeping my fingers crossed that they will be appropriately sized -Even with the cost of shipping factored in, the mice are still cheaper than what I’d pay at a pet store I have a rather picky snake who will refuse to eat soiled or contorted mice. He also has a history of regurgitating his food if it is too large. This means that a lot of commercially available frozen mice are off the table. I was very pleased with my order with Layne Labs, and I plan on using them as my sole supplier of food for my snake moving forward. Even as the owner of just one snake, ordering from Layne Labs is definitely cheaper than buying mice from a pet store. I also feel good about how the mice must be treated based on the condition I get them in. It appears that Layne Labs keeps the mice clean and well-cared for, which makes me feel good about the quality of the mice as food for my snake AND it makes me feel good about the quality of life and respect given to the mice while they are alive. I highly recommend Layne Labs to anyone looking for quality feeders, and I hope for my snake’s sake that this company stays in business for a very long time!
