Who are you feeding? Boa Constrictor (bci)

Great quality

Been using Layne for a little while now. Always great quality feeders being delivered. Prices maybe a little higher than others. But... you're getting what you pay for.

Excellent Packaging and Quality

I’ve been buying frozen rodents for my snakes. Overall I’m very pleased with the quality and size of the rodents. The variety of package sizes available is a plus. The packaging is the best I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend.

Who are you feeding? Corn snake

So good, the cat is jealous!

I've been ordering from Layne Labs for a few years now. Ordering from the website is easy. Their customer service is prompt and helpful. Shipping is fast. Prices are reasonable. The quality of the rodents is superb. Their practices seem very clean and humane. My friend started getting rats for her ball python from them so we could combine our order and save on shipping, but unfortunately her snake will refuse rats that aren't pure white. When we unknowingly ordered rats without specifying and received a few colored rats, the company was understanding and provided us a discount on our next order. Now we specify when we place the order and they always make sure the rats are pure white. Leroy's mice are so tasty, even the cats get jealous on his feeding days!

Who are you feeding? Four baby Plains Hognoses and one Cornsnake!

Hard to find mice of this quality!

I did a lot of searching around for the perfect, safe mice to feed all my little noodle heads. Layne's Labs are insanely high quality and differ from most other frozen rodent options out there in some really important ways. For one, as a Pet Nutritionist (for dogs and cats) I'm aware of the importance of using non-irradiated foods. Most companies that sell mice irradiate their mice, which is great for humans, but terrible for our snakes and other rodent-nomming reptiles. Studies have confirmed that irradiating foods changes their taste, texture, smell, and most importantly, their nutrient profiles. So not only was Layne's Labs my top choice because they are the only frozen rodent option I could find that does *not* irradiate their mice, but on top of that, they have never once tested positive for Salmonella in their batches. Looking through how they keep their mice safe so our sneks will be safe, I found that they operate in a USDA-inspected facility, they change out and steam disinfect every single mouse container every single day, and they ensure that the mice are killed as humanely as possible. These are well-cared-for, well-treated, healthy mice that have a quick end. As someone who also loves rodents, this is the most ideal scenario. I get snakes because I love animals - not because I like to hurt rodents! And last but not least, they flash-freeze the mice! This means even less chance for nutrient loss or deformation. This is seriously the absolute best, top-notch frozen rodent option around. And now that I've been feeding their mice to my scaley babies for the last two weeks with no problems, I can confidently say all of that comes together to make nutritious, safe, easy-to-feed food for my little noodle noggins. Seriously - don't shop anywhere else. These guys are the best. Thank you Layne Labs for making this Pet Nutritionist and her reptile bebes super happy!
